Arrival in Nepal

If you are getting your visa on arrival please ensure that you have the correct amount of cash in dollars (or pounds) and passport photos. More information about what you'll need to have with you to buy a visa on arrival and the address to write on your forms can be found on the Adventure Alternative website.

Airport transfers, accommodation and meals in Kathmandu are not included in the cost and are not organised by us as many people arrive overland from India and book into various standards of accommodation in the city. However, Moving Mountains can help with airport transfers, and accommodation and meals at the Adventure Alternative guesthouse in Kathmandu - please contact us if you would like to do this. This is where the trip briefing and preparation will happen on day 2. The cost for these extra's can be paid directly to our staff in Nepal.

You can find out more about the Adventure Alternative guesthouse, including prices for meals and accommodation, on the Adventure Alternative UK and Nepal webpages. If you are staying here, you can call Lhakpa or Geljun when you reach Nepal and they will give directions to taxi drivers. Moving Mountains can also arrange for you to be picked up from the airport - please contact us if you would like to do this.
